I like Zendaya´s style

Zendaya, una chica con sus inicios en Disney, a sus cortos 18 años tiene un estilo que me encanta, además de esa vibra alegre y fresca que refleja.

Del primer look lo que me agrada es el color del traje, mejor conocido como mono, oberol o enterizo. A ella le queda especialmente bien por su altura y constitución delgada.

De este segundo outfit me gustan los boyfriend jeans combinados con esos estiletos, esta combinación está por todas partes, lo sé... pero me gustó con ese abrigo y el peinado.
Lo tendré que intentar pronto con un abrigo que no he podido estrenar.

Encontré dos outfits parecidos, me encantan esos trajes estampados, el primero es más relajado (casi parece piyama) y con tan sólo agregarle unos tacones ya se ve más formalito.

I found two matching outfits, I specially love the printed ones, the first is almost like a piyama, it looks relaxed but by wearing some pumps we get a formal look.

El segundo conjunto estampado es más tallado al cuerpo y eso hace que sea más serio, lo único que le cambiaría es el peinado, ya que tanto estampado me hace querer verle a Zendaya un yoyo como con el
outfit anterior.

The second fits better on her body and that´s more elegant and serious. For the hair I like better a nice clean ponytail or even a bun because of all that going on with the prints on her suit.

Me gusta de este vestido que está acorde a su edad, nada de escotes exagerados ni lo mismo de siempre con strapples y brillo por todos lados. Totalmente inesperado y fuera de lo acostumbrado.

I love this dress beacuse it is perfect for her age, no unnecessary cleavage or even the same of always like strapples and glow everywhere. Totally unexpected and not what we usually see on events.

Si algo me encantan son las chaquetas y son mejores para mi cuando son largas y de un color "raro". De sus botas no soy fan pero si de su bolsa, definitivamente blanca es un color dificil de cuidar pero definitivamente un MUST.

If there is something that I really love is a jacket, even more when it is an unusual color and long. I´m not a fan of her boots but I definitely the white bag is a MUST.

Primera exposición de fotografía

El primer módulo del curso de fotografía ha concluido y estas son las imágenes de ese día último en que algunos de los compañeros en el curso expusieron su trabajo. Yo misma fui una de las que llevé algunas de mis fotografías.



Para la primera parte de la exposición el tema era Antigua Guatemala, como algunos ya saben, un lugar muy recurrido por los turistas extranjeros y locales por su historia y belleza arquitectónica.  A mi me encanta todo lo que es vintage y de esto se encuentra mucho en esta antigua ciudad, por eso cuando vi una bicicleta estacionada en la calle empedrada me dije que seria una bonita toma, luego en lo que me acerqué para tomarle la foto, salió el dueño y enseguida se subió...bueno me dije, lástima que no llegué a tiempo, pero luego viendo bien la foto fue una de las que más me gustó para exponer.


Para mi sorpresa fue una de las más gustadas junto con otras dos fotografías de otros compañeros, con ellos compartimos el segundo lugar.

Como ya les había mencionado la exposición estuvo dividida en dos partes, la primera tuvo como tema Antigua Guatemala y la segunda era tema libre, en esta última pudimos exponer ya no sólo una foto sino que un poco más de nuestro aprendizaje.

Se han fijado que la mayoría de las veces nos ponemos los vestidos largos que usamos para alguna fiesta o evento y luego lo abandonamos con la excusa de no querer repetir... pues la mejor manera de volver a usarlos una y otra vez es agregándoles piezas extras, ya sea blusas, chaquetas o sudaderos.

Have you noticed that most of the times we use our maxi dresses only one time at a party or event and then we abandon them with the excuse of not repeting...well the best way of using them again and again is by wearing extra pieces, it could be shirts, jackets or sweaters.

Se Feliz

Se siente bonito cuando las personas que más estimas te regalan unas palabras bonitas, un regalito inesperado o simplemente su tiempo queriéndote decir lo mucho que te quieren y te estiman. En este cumpleaños no quise planear nada y me dispuse a disfrutar de la espontaneidad del día, el resultado: perfecto para mí, porque la pasé feliz.

It feels pretty when people you love the most share with you some special words, an unexpected gift or just a little of their time, trying to tell you how much they care about you. This year I decided not to plan anything for my birthday so I enjoyed the day´s spontaneity, the result: perfect for me, I had a very happy Birthday!

Y sobre ser feliz, estuvimos filosofando con unas amigas y llegamos a la conclusión de que se trata de no solo ser feliz por lo que te rodea o por lo que tienes o no tienes, por lo que hacen o dejan de hacer las personas que te rodean o incluso por lo que digan o dejen de decir. Se trata de ser feliz por uno mismo: celebrando como te gusta, comiendo lo que te gusta, escuchando lo que te gusta, bailando lo que te gusta...en resumen haciendo  lo que te gusta cuando y con quien te guste. ¿Y todo por y para qué? para ser feliz... y con esto no quiero decir que te olvides del mundo y sus habitantes, lo que quiero decir es que de vez en cuando te consientas a ti mismo; lee un libro, sal en bicicleta, come un helado, sal a correr, rie solo, usa sombras amarillas y celestes en tus ojos, ponele azúcar, miel y crema a tus plátanos fritos, abrí un blog, escribí sobre cualquier cosa que querrás y se feliz.
Sólo se vive una vez...

And about been happy, we were philosophising with some friends and we reached the conclusion that you don´t have to be happy only because of the things that you have or don´t have, because of the things that people do or don´t do or even with the things they say or prefer not to say. It´s all about been happy because of yourself; celebrating just the way you like it, eating what you like, listening what you like, dancing what you like...in summary doing what you like with whoever you like. And all that for? Being happy...and by that I´m not trying to say to forget about the whole world and its habitants, I´m just saying that once in a while you should spoil yourself; read a book, get a bike ride, eat an icecream, go out and run, laugh alone, wear yellow and blue shadows on your eyes, get sugar, honey and cream on your fried bananas, open a blog, write about anything you want and be  just happy.
You only live once...

Bonito mi Barrio

Hace unos días fuimos a visitar 4º Norte, un punto de reunión aquí en Guatemala (como algunos ya saben), ya que están renovando de nuevo todo el lugar. El proyecto llamado "Bonito Mi Barrio" consiste en darle color a las calles por medio de murales, estos murales los están elaborando ilustradores, diseñadores gráficos y hasta fotógrafos, según me he informado. 

Espero que este lugar vuelva a ser lo que se tenía pensado desde que lo inauguraron por primera vez hace algunos años. Espero que vuelva a renacer y sea un lugar donde poder encontrar arte, ingenio y creatividad guatemalteca.

Fuimos el primer día, así que la mayoría de murales estaban sin terminar. En mi próxima visita les traeré mis murales favoritos, desde ya he visto en Instagram algunas obras super especiales.

A few days ago we went to visit 4º Norte, a place to meet here in Guatemala (as some of you may know), because it´s been renovated. The project called "Bonito mi Barrio" (Pretty my Neighborhood), it´s all about giving color to the streets and walls to a group of blocks by painting grafittis made by ilustrators, graphic designers and even photographers, as I have been informed.

I hope this place returns just like it was ment to be when it was first opened to the public few years ago. And I really hope it borns again to be a place for guatemalan art, inventiveness and creativity.

We went the first day, so the mayority of the graffitis were half-way done. In my next visit I´ll bring some photos from my favorite pieces. You can look out for some pieces at Instagram, just search #bonitomibarrio tags. 

Este día llevaba mi falda denim que tenía siglos de no usarla pero inspirándome en la web decidí usarla con un suéter tejido de American Eagle, un clutch vintage que era de mi mamá y unos botines de Cherry Boutique.

Una boda vintage, llena de DIY

El día de tu boda es uno de esos días que se van como que si fuera un sueño. Todo se vive intensamente y cada cosa sucede en una especie de cámara lenta, y a la vez disfrutas tanto que sientes que el día no duró nada y que se fue muy rápido.

Your wedding day is one of those days that go by like if they were a dream. You live everything intensely and it seems that everything happens in slow motion, ironically you feel that the day went by too fast and that it didn´t last nothing at all.

Yo me inspiré mucho en pinterest, tengo un tablero lleno de pines inspiradores y también visité mucho el blog de Rosa Clará, en ese sitio cada vestido tiene una historia, hay entrevistas de las novias, de cómo eligieron su vestido y de cómo sobrevivieron el día de la boda. Además ahí mismo te dan muchas ideas, consejos y tips muy útiles.
